Your Favorite NKOTB Memory = Free NKOTB Tickets!

Yes, it could be that simple!

All you have to do is go to Jamsbio.com and share your favorite NKOTB story. Three lucky fans will be selected by drawing to receive a pair of tickets to see the New Kids in the city of his or her choice on the band's sold out reunion tour.

One lucky fan has already been picked, but 2 more winners will be selected on September 15th and September 18th. (But as the New Kids sing, "Get loose everybody 'cause we're gonna do our thing. 'Cause you know it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings!")

Oh, and you might be asking, what is Jamsbio.com??? It is a social community to share your life through music.

NKOTB on TODAY Show

You don't really think I would have all of my silly posts on New Kids on the Block and not actually share with you their first performance on the TODAY Show, do you??? (Well, I suppose I could have considering they totally denied me access to their preparation show at the House of Blues in Hollywood this past Tuesday. Props go out to my husband, Jenny and Anderson for attempting to hook me up with tickets, but we still got negged. I guess I won't hold it over NKOTB's head!)

I digress...so their show was pretty impressive. They certainly aren't dancing as much as they did back in the day, but they still look good. There is definitely a smoother and simplified look to their moves. But perhaps that was the rain. And speaking of the rain, it certainly did not help the TODAY Show's production of their performances because, as you will see from the clips above and below, the sound quality at times was very poor.

Maybe they will finally decide to add some West Coast tour stops after the overwhelmingly large crowd braved the rain to watch them perform. (Hint, hint, hint!)

NKOTB...They're Baaack!!

So, I am glad to see there are people as wacky as me who are totally psyched about the NKOTB reunion. I would especially like to thank all of the wonderful people who put the footage of the New Kids from the Today show on YouTube because the Today Show in Southern California was pre-empted.

I must say I was rather impressed with the guys GQ approach to the comeback. Thank you Spice Girls for putting this fantastic idea into the heads of the "5 hardest working guys in show business." (Or atleast that is what their announcer used to say at the beginning of their concert!)

Enjoy the video!

To Feel Like a Teenager Again

It's official...I am obsessed! (Ah, I feel like I am 13 again!)

Here is a picture of the newly reunited New Kids on the Block. Sure, they should probably change their names to the Old Guys Who Have Been Around the Block a Few Times, but hey, we love them anyway!

Only a day and a half to go!

No Foolin' - NKOTB to Perform on The Today Show this Friday!

So, since I signed up for updates and announcements from NKOTB.com, I am pleased to tell you that the 5 guys from Beantown are scheduled to perform this Friday, April 4, on The Today Show (sometime between 7 and 9am. I am sure closer to 9am to make us all watch the entire program!).

I am stoked to see if the old guys still have some pelvic thrusts in them. Back in the day, the pelvic thrusts always drove the girls into a tizzy, but we shall see if that is still the case now that the guys are in their late 30's.

New Kids Update

For all you New Kids on the Block fans (yes, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, I am talking to you!), this is the latest update on NKOTB.com. (I signed up for updates for all of you...not for me! :>)
I think they are trying to gauge what kind of response they would get from fans if they made a comeback...so far, so good!
And why did Danny Wood put on his MySpace page that he knows of no reunion? When I find out, I will let you know!

NKOTB - A Reunion???

Okay, if you are a woman between the ages of 20 and 40 you should know what NKOTB stands for...yes, New Kids on the Block. Rumors have been swirling about a reunion of the boy band from the late eighties and early nineties, but if you visit their official website, NKOTB.com, it has now been updated with images and facts as to just how popular they were.

I guess they saw the money the Spice Girls are getting and thought "we might as well give it a try!" Even though the groups' members now range from 35 to 39, I am sure fans will still flock to see them. The question is, are they going to make new music or just play the old stuff? Either way, now that I am well over the legal drinking age, their old songs should sound even better.

Actually, back in 2004, we saw Jordan Knight perform solo at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. We were there for my girlfriend's (Liz) bachelorette party and coincidentally staying at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay (where the House of Blues is located). Since Jordan was the lead singer on most of the songs anyway, he sang quite a few of the New Kids songs, and my girlfriend was lucky enough to be asked up to the stage so he could sing to her since she was dressed in white bachelorette gear. (Lucky, lucky girl!) Needless to say, a few cocktails and I was doing the "Right Stuff" dance like it was nobody's business. (I also still know all the moves to "My Favorite Girl," not to brag or anything.)

So, if you are a fan or were once a fan, check out NKOTB.com...come on, you know you want to take a peek! If nothing else, it will be bring back fun memories from your youth and remind you why you were hesitant to like Backstreet Boys or N*Sync (because they were New Kids on the Block copy cats! Or maybe I was the only one that thought that!).
