Disney Buys Marvel...

Or in other words, Mickey Mouse bought Spider-Man. When I saw this news today I got so excited...not because I am a comic book collector or anything. But because I have two of the biggest Spider-Man fans I know under my roof. Yes, my 4-year old son and almost 2-year old daughter both want to be Spider-Man (a Spider-Man football player in the case of my son).

And if I lived in a dream world, this would mean that Spider-Man would be a Disneyland, too. My kids would flip out if Spider-Man were at Disneyland or California Adventure. While I admit that I don't think they go very well together, they would get along famously in the minds of my kids!

And no wonder Marvel characters have been popping up in random places like Old Navy. They were apparently shopping around. Now that the Disney machine has taken hold, it will be interesting to see where Marvel stuff pops up...

BTW, I am drawing the picture of Spider-Man posted about right now. My son saw it and asked me to draw it...of course. Then he is going to color it.
