Brother and Sister Love

Yesterday, I took the kids to Disneyland and many wonderful moments and rides made for an amazing day. But one moment during our day will forever be imprinted in my mind (and if I somehow forget, that is why I have pictures to remind me!).

As we were walking on to Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters, they both reached out for each other and held hands. It was so sweet! In this moment I thought all my badgering about loving and taking care of each other might finally be sinking in.  It definitely made my heart smile.

Effect of a Screen-Free Week

In honor of The Read Across America program, my son's elementary school has challenged it's students to a Screen-Free Week. That means no TV, computer, video games, iPad - a mom's dream!

Here is what I found my son doing last night since they couldn't watch TV before bed:  He's not only reading to his sister, but he is reading the Bible!

9 Years Later...

This is what my husband gave me for my birthday, just 5 days before our 9th wedding anniversary (today). For a tough and strong guy, it melted my heart to receive such a "mushy" gift from him.  I couldn't have said any of it better myself.

Here's to 9 great years and many more wonderful years ahead!
