An Indiana Jones Adventure at the Discovery Science Center

With our 4-day President's weekend coming to a close, my daughter's wish finally came true. We all went to the Discovery Science Center of Orange County.  Why did she want to go to there so desperately???  Her favorite movie (of the minute) has an exhibit there!  And as most 5-year old girls, she wants to be Elsa from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.  She even attempted to dress like Elsa today!

We walked into the Discovery Science Center and b-lined it to the Indiana Jones Adventure.  After waiting in line for about 20 minutes (President's Day was an extremely busy day to visit!), we each were handed the walk-man (remember those?) sized iTouch-like apparatus below.

We walked around the exhibit with our headphones on learning all about Indiana Jones.  This was the second time my kids had been to this exhibit and yet they paid attention like I had never seen before.  It was so cool to see them so engaged in films that came out when I was a kid.

Here are some of the cool things we saw:

 Indiana Jones' costume

The arc of the Covenant (Notice how intently my five-year old daughter is listening and checking out the arc.)

Elsa's costume from The Last Crusade (Elsa's my daughter's favorite female lead from all the movies)

And of course, the crystal skull from the 4th Indiana Jones movie
