Ebates: Cash Back for Shopping Online Rocks + {$100 Nordstrom Gift Card Giveaway}

I began using Ebates in conjunction with my online shopping about a year ago, and I thought the concept was too good to be true. 

With Ebates it's simple: You shop online and you get cash back from your purchase.  Just a few of the 12,000 retailers include Toys R Us, Macy's, Home Depot, Victoria's Secret, Overstock.com, and Nordstrom.  And by cash, I mean a check in the mail, or as Ebates like to call it: A Big Fat Check.

Here's the process:

1. Sign up for Ebates.com.
2. Once you are signed in, you can look through the extensive list of retailers and any current promotions or discounts being offered.
3. Click on the retailer of your choice and you are directed to that retailer's website. While being redirected, you will notice a tracking number screen come up so that Ebates can track your purchase.
4. Then you select the items on the retailers website and pay for your items directly to the retailer.
5.  In 1-3 business days after making your purchase, you will receive an email from Ebates verifying your purchase and giving you a cash back update.

That's it!
 
Since signing up, I have received 3 Big Fat Checks in the mail, with no additional effort other than having to deposit them in the bank. Now that's an activity I am more than happy to spend time on! Checks are sent out quarterly so amounts are totaled up every 3 months.
