Oops, My Bad

I wanted to apologize for my last post. I will admit I was naive and didn't realize how controversial of a topic circumcision is, and as a result, I have pulled that post.

My goal in writing this blog is to share fun and useful ideas and stories I encounter along the road of life. I certainly don't mean to offend or upset anyone reading.

Have a great weekend!

The number of doctors who refused to do the circumcision is gratifying. I counted three - one OB and two pediatricians.

Non-therapeutic circumcision of infants - the removal of a body part - violates their human right to bodily integrity. This makes the operation a medically unethical operation. This may be why the doctors refused to do it.

As you said, a lot of boys are not being circumcised now, so the locker-room argument is a false one.

Your husband evidently suffers from "adamant-father syndrome," This is an emotional issue that results from his own circumcision. He does not want anyone around to remind him of what he has lost. See

for a definition.

I think the person above is an idiot. Un circumsized pee pees are gross. Get over it!

The above poster is very shallow I have an intact husband and two intact sons, why would you say something like that? They are very clean and have natural bodies. I wonder who is the idiot here?

I'm sorry I am venting in your blog, I wish your son fast healing and many blessings...

Knowledge is power, and it is good that through your blog you were able to hear different points of view and information about circumcision. As you have learned, circumcision is a serious subject -- especially for the infant, who is losing a healthy, vital body part without his consent. I wish you well in the future -- and please help educate others about this subject -- KarenB, mom of two intact little boys!

Circumcision is serious. But obviously the new FAD is to be "inact". I think it's pretty ridiculous.

Just an FYI-I saw on the Today Show this morning that the CDC is now going to recommend that boy babies DO get the procedure done. They said they expect circumcision rates to go up based on this recommendation...

Thanks, Kim O. for the updated CDC recommendation.
