Our son's school has awards they give out each month for core values the students are trying to exemplify. This past Friday, the hubby, daughter and I were thrilled to attend an assembly where our little 6-year old was given an award for Moral Courage.When we asked him, "what did you do to show moral courage?" his response was, "I don't know." But hey, his teacher must see him doing something right! He was so excited to be recognized!
Oh, and I am so pleased to say that when I ask him what about his upcoming year in first grade excites him the most, he says, "Going to school all day!" I hope that same sentiment sticks next year!
