I love any reason to get together with family and friends...and what is better than having a get together to let those who are closest to you know if you are pregnant with a boy or girl. Great food, great company, and a great surprise. A party doesn't get much better than that!
And come to think of it, this is a great way to avoid hurting anyone's feelings about who finds out first. Everyone looks at the ultrasound at the same time!
